New Moon in Aquarius

Once a month, the moon is invisible because it's between Earth and the sun. This game of hide and seek marks the beginning of the lunar cycle, also known as a new moon. Depending on the zodiac sign it's in, each new moon has its own meaning. Tonight's new moon (February 4th) is in Aquarius and is asking us to stop, collaborate and listen.
Stop
At this phase, the moon itself is regenerating. The nights are darker and Mother Nature is encouraging us to pause, turn inwards and reflect on what energy we're putting out into the universe. Tonight, mimic the moon and give yourself permission to slow down. Light some candles, put your phone on airplane mode and play anything by Goldmund.
Collaborate
According to two of my favourite astrologers, Ophira and Tali of AstroStyle, Aquarius energy is "community-oriented" and "tends to be more focused on the group than the individual". It is the sign of friendship and teamwork. You can read all about their take on the Aquarius zodiac sign here.
It's not in my nature to ask for help. In general, I prefer to process things alone or to do things myself. As a result, I end up missing out on the special magic that can only happen when we lean on or collaborate with the people we love.
Under the influence of tonight's collective new moon, consider how/where it might be valuable for you to join forces. How/where might you benefit from bouncing ideas off or asking for support from someone? Sure, keeping whatever you're working on or going through locked up like some kind of Boo Radley is less scary, but no one ever achieved anything great by playing it safe.
Listen
"Listen more than you talk. Nobody learned anything by hearing themselves speak." - Richard Branson
This one's a doozy. If we're to truly benefit from working with a team or tribe, we've got to learn to become quiet. When we concentrate on hearing (either others or our own inner voice), we create space for lightbulb moments to happen.
P.S. Because it falls in the middle of the season, Aquarius is also what is known as a fixed sign. Fixed signs are logical and realistic. Tonight's new moon is the opportune time for doing as the Aquarians do and making a to-do list! Let's get you back on track and make those dreams of yours a reality!
Happy making the dream work! #teamwork
