Circling is an ancient practice. From cave paintings we learnt that prehistoric cultures would sit around the campfire and share stories, worship their gods and goddesses and pass down traditions and wisdom. At its core, circling is about community and sharing. In circling we realise that we are not alone; no one’s above, no one’s below. When we come together in a supportive way, in a loving, sacred space - magic can happen.
Moon Circles
How to harness the moon's supportive energy depends on the phase it's in. The full moon is about giving thanks and celebrating what we have manifested and created, as well as releasing that which hasn't materialised yet. The new moon is the perfect time for setting intentions and proclaiming them to the Universe. A circle doesn't have to coincide with the new or full moon. That said, I don't know about you but I can use all the help I can get!
So that you may fully experience the magic...
One person shares at a time. Whoever has the talking stick has the floor.
Try to support by listening, rather than by giving advice or consoling. This way, we're forced to listen to our own inner voice which deepens our self-trust.
You have permission to be your highest or your lowest self.
You don’t have to share if you don’t want to. You can also participate by listening.
What is said in the circle, stays in the circle!
